Global Learning
Reflection
During my time at Florida International University, I have gained an international understanding, respect, and knowledge in world history, religion, and language. Due to my heritage, I appreciate the different cultures within South America and look to learn more.

Before my interest in Portuguese and Brazilian culture, I went to Guyana on a week-long service trip to help The International Children's Outreach community center educate children about self-love, hygiene, and domestic violence. This enriching experience pushed my desire to help others internationally further.

My courses at FIU helped me understand why and how distinctions in our culture exist, the history and threats to our nation, and how we can create a change in our government through policy development. In addition, my core courses within Public Administration, such as Managing Global cities, multiple leadership courses, and my final Capstone on International Students, has helped me shape a mindset to create change for the better for the American people and those in need internationally. As I move forward to working for the US Government, I will remember my knowledge from experience and knowledge from my courses at Florida International University.

These four are themes that provide insight into recurring issues across different cities, countries, and communities. Personal Code of Ethics Paper
"My personal code of ethics to serve the public in their best interest, to actively prevent, change or report any wrongdoing in the organization, to uphold integrity and communication within the workplace and when speaking to the public, and to respect and show inclusiveness all of those in the public mostly take part in a deontological or virtuous based ethical approach."
Integrative Leadership Paper
"Leadership is often persuasion, delegation, communication, and support. When a leader understands their skills and how to use them correctly; the relationship between leader and follower becomes a dynamic and loyal bond. This is defined as "leadership as an influence process," the act of creating a relationship of integrating a group by stressing common goals and provides the trust that decisions are ethical and orderly."
